Teacher of elementary or middle school students (K-4, 5-8) 

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or Masters in the content area 

• Must possess, be eligible or working towards certification: 

• (165) Comprehensive Special Education (PreK-12) 

• (305) Elementary (1-6), (various) content area (4-12)

  Period of Employment:   2025-2026 school year, summer work also available 

• Salary based on education and experience: $ 59000 - $ 72000 per year 

  Position Expectations:  

• Team with an experienced special educator, teaching assistants and clinicians to meet the needs of students with special needs in two trauma informed classrooms 

• Connect with students to achieve academic and therapeutic goals 

• Develop student resilience, protective factors and distress tolerance 

• Design lesson plans to meet the needs of students in small group setting 

• Engage colleagues, students and families in the learning process 

• Apply student’s reading and literacy skills in areas of student interest 

• Demonstrate knowledge of special education regulations and guidelines 

• Implement IEP and progress-monitor student growth 

• Prepare documents for PPT participation
